Bandung – Chairman of the Indonesian National Education Foundation, Prabowo Subianto attended the graduation of bachelor students from the Republic of Indonesia National University (UKRI) at the Trans Convention Center, Bandung, West Java, Thursday (29/2).
On the occasion, Prabowo delivered a message to hundreds of male and female graduates to never stop learning so they can contribute more to the country.
Prabowo said that Indonesia always needs the role of young people. He also encouraged male and female graduates to be leaders who always love the people.
“I entrust to these young people, be leaders who love the people,” said Prabowo.
“We need strong young people, we need smart young people, we need intelligent young people,” he said.
Prabowo considers the role of leaders as one of the important factors that affect the future of a group. He also advised graduates to base their every step on prioritizing the interests of the people.
“You can be innovative, must be creative, must seek wealth without robbing the people’s money,” continued Prabowo.
“Many Indonesians are still struggling, many of our children don’t even have breakfast. You young people are their hope.”
Prabowo reminded that the dedication of young people can start from the smallest part in their environment. In addition to being smart, he also emphasized that young people must be tough.
“We need young people as future leaders. In the near future, you may lead starting from the village level, then continue to increase,” said Prabowo.
UKRI is a university built from the noble ideals of the Soemitro Djojohadikusumo family who wanted Indonesia to become a better nation.
Currently, UKRI has six faculties, namely the Faculty of Industrial Engineering; Faculty of Social Sciences and Literature; Faculty of Computer Science and Information Systems; Faculty of Economics; and the newest, the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics. (SENOPATI)
