Toyota’s TRD Pro lineup has always offered some great color options throughout its history: Army Green, Electric Lime, Terra, Mudbath, and the list goes on. This year, Toyota has added another sweet color to its already strong palette: Wave Maker. Developed by the Calty Design team at Toyota, Wave Maker marks the eleventh unique paint choice for the TRD Pro lineup. It is one of the five colors available on the TRD Pro models for 2025, alongside Ice Cap, Magnetic Grey, Midnight Black, and the previously mentioned Mudbath.
“We’ve had a few warm natural tones inspired by traditional landscapes like Terra and Mudbath as signature colors. With Wave Maker, we drew inspiration from untouched adventure areas, including extreme regions and even beyond Earth. Wave Maker expresses the elemental spirit invoking images of glacial depths and sensations of new frontiers.” – Benjamin Jimenez, General Manager, Calty Ann Arbor
This new color is similar to the Heritage Blue offered on other models like the 4Runner and Land Cruiser, but still maintains its unique identity. It stands out from its sibling colors with a brighter finish and more blue-green hues. In fact, there are not many colors on the market today that can match it. Wave Runner will be available on the TRD Pro versions of the 4Runner, Tacoma, Tundra, and Sequoia starting later this year. While Toyota has not confirmed if there will be an additional cost, expect an extra price hike between $350 to $475 if there is one (which is highly likely).
