President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, is set to participate in the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, United States in September 2025. This international event signifies Indonesia’s increasing involvement in global diplomacy. The announcement was made by Hasan Nasbi, Head of the Presidential Communication Office (PCO), during a press conference in Central Jakarta. Hasan confirmed President Prabowo’s dedication to attending the UNGA, highlighting Indonesia’s proactive role on the world stage.
Hasan emphasized that President Prabowo has been actively engaged in various multilateral forums, including the G20, APEC, BRICS, and ASEAN Summits, among others. Indonesia has gained significant respect internationally under Prabowo’s leadership. House Speaker Puan Maharani also expressed confidence in President Prabowo’s commitment to global affairs, noting his recent visits and participation in international platforms. She asserted that Indonesia’s representation on the global stage is expected to improve significantly under Prabowo’s leadership, dispelling criticisms from past administrations. Puan’s optimism reflects the country’s diplomatic visibility and active engagement in international forums under President Prabowo’s administration.
