The Garuda Merah Putih-II Task Force successfully completed a humanitarian aid mission to the Gaza Strip, Palestine, coinciding with Indonesia’s 80th independence anniversary. The joint effort involved the Ministry of Defense, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the National Alms Agency (Baznas). Two Indonesian Air Force C-130J Super Hercules aircraft took off from King Abdullah II Air Base in Amman, Jordan, and conducted an airdrop of aid supplies over Gaza before returning safely. Colonel Pilot Puguh Yulianto, Commander of the Garuda Merah Putih-II Task Force, reported that the mission was smooth and successful, delivering essential supplies like staple foods, ready-to-eat meals, medical equipment, blankets, and items for children. This humanitarian effort was carried out under President Prabowo Subianto’s orders, demonstrating Indonesia’s commitment to international solidarity. The mission’s success on the country’s independence anniversary was celebrated as a moment of national pride, showcasing Indonesia’s active role in global peace initiatives. Yulianto described the achievement as a historic milestone and a special gift for Indonesia on its Independence Day.
