President Prabowo Subianto highlighted the significant impact of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program during his speech at the Annual Session of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) in Jakarta. Launched eight months ago, the program has already benefited 20 million recipients, including schoolchildren, preschoolers, pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers. With 5,800 Nutritional Service Units established in 38 provinces, the MBG program has created 290,000 jobs and involved one million farmers, fishers, livestock breeders, and small and medium-sized enterprises. President Prabowo emphasized that MBG is more than just a social welfare program but a strategic initiative to nurture a healthy, intelligent, and productive generation. He cited improved school attendance and academic performance as early signs of success, surpassing the achievements of other nations within a short period. The Annual Session was attended by leaders of state institutions, members of the DPR and DPD, as well as the entire cabinet. This program has not only provided tangible benefits but also contributed to economic growth in rural areas, demonstrating Indonesia’s capability to make a positive impact when its people are united in purpose.
