Mesin V-8 Baru Toyota: Bukan Hanya untuk Supercar

by -129 Views

Toyota’s new V-8 engine has sparked interest, not just in the supercar world but also in mainstream applications. The head of the company’s powertrain division confirmed in an interview that it is technically feasible to fit this large engine under the hood of the Land Cruiser (LC300). This V-8 engine has modular capabilities that suggest it could be used in various vehicles, and there’s even talk of developing a diesel version with a full hybrid setup. While the specific power output is still under wraps, engineers are targeting over 400 hp for the new turbocharged 4.0-liter four-cylinder engine and a whopping 900 hp for the V-8 with electric assistance. This move towards a V-8 in larger vehicles like the Land Cruiser, Sequoia, or even Lexus models like the GX and LX makes economic sense for Toyota, aiming to maximize the engine’s value beyond just high-performance supercars.
